Default BOB Redux Campaign

I just installed the Battle of Britain Redux Campaign from M4T (in the HsFx section) and following the simple instructions, had no problem installing and running in my 1946 4.11.1 and HsFx 6.0.17 setup. I am also on a new Win 8 computer and all seems good so far.

The only thing is that the Rank Selection drop down for the campaign is not in English so had to make a guess. The briefing description recommends you start as a sergeant or lieutenant. I've noticed that in some of the other default missions / campaigns briefings and everything are not in English. I'm assuming this is normal.

First mission seemed to run just fine. Will be interesting to compare the gameplay in the CLoD Redux Campaign and in the 1946 version. Only thing so far is that I can mostly land ok in CLoD but generally manage to tear the wheels off in 1946

Edit: In general it seems I execute consistently smoother landings if I come in slightly hot and without flaps. This is in contrast to the major GA sims I fly.

So far it is a very well scripted campaign with progressively increasing challenges and nicely done "movie" cut scenes. The forth mission is next for me and will be the first with targets that can shoot back. Overall very well done I feel and especially good for people who aren't interested in getting bounced by (6) 109's 2 seconds after takeoff.

Hmmm not normal exactly but the rank files aren't handled by the campaign but your modded game installation.

I have attached a zip file which I think should fix your issues.

Unpack the zip into your \Missions\Campaign\ folder.
This may overwrite your existing rank files which are likely displaying for you in Russian.

Please bear in mind that this campaign was created before your version of HSFX was around so I cannot guarantee all will be well.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. I will check it out. The language thing isn't really such a big deal in general anyway. Most mission objectives etc aren't that hard to figure out. I imagine that often those boys in the 1940's were a bit confused too.

I also got the four HsFx Campaigns which were submitted / revised by "greybeard" ( 2 Pacific, 2 African ) and they seem to be consistently well designed and interesting to play. Not trying to put anyone over anyone else. These are just ones so far that made me want to come back for "just one more mission".
