yo
i have an nvidia 295GTX with the latest 280.26 running on win7 64bit with i5 and 8gb of ram. I have il2cod with the latest patch (steam) . So far, i have tried all possible tricks and settings and im still having a barely acceptable fps. (15-23fps) im running il2cod all set to medium at 1920x1200 60hz with antialiasing 1x ; vsync and ssao ON. I just don't understand how other people are managing to get higher / acceptable fps with lesser hardware specs than me? or is the what i'm getting with the 295gtx is all what can be expected? |

I'm sure you no SLI don't work and unless you created a custom SLI profile your only using half of that GTX295

If you want SLI, do as per http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=23199
Your 295GTX is not a very good card for DX10 so this is your bottleneck. It also has 900Mb VRAM per GPU and this is also a limitation for this game (CoD needs >2Gb VRAM to run well). You did not mention whether you are running WinXP or Win7-64bit, from the amount of RAM you have I presume you have the second (Win7-64bit). That is good because otherwise your operating system would also be the bottleneck. ~S~ |

thats what i thought, ive already tried many different things.. like setting multi gpu on/off and various tricks/conf.ini changes i have found in this forum etc the general playability is still lame, and in some situations like airt to ground attacks it just makes it barely playable...
the 295GTX is a shitcard , not only its performance is poor but it also makes a lot of turbine/fan noise.. seems that i wouldn't be able to get any better performance out of it that what i currently have in il2cod i will be getting the N580GTX with 3gb of vram Last edited by highness; 10-24-2011 at 11:12 PM. |
