How to disable forcefeedback?

So, i have a msffb2, and i want to disable the force feedback, like you can in il2, in the conf.ini, and through the gui.

Basically, imo the ffb sucks in clod, but even more irritatingly, it seems to start the mission clicked out, then comes back in after 20 seconds or so, only to depart on a whim, and its pissing me off when i'm flying.

deleting the files in the ffb folder only removes the effects of course, and no one likes a floppy stick......

so any ideas how to turn it off?

I've tried setting FF=0 in the rts joystick section of both conf.ini's to no avail......
