Default Warthog profile help

I've just received my Warthog, and very nice it is too. I'm a bit lost though when it comes to assigning toggle switches etc to commands. I'm even more lost when it comes to deciding how to assign the switches that can either be clicked in one direction but only pressed in the other direction before they revert to centre.

I know one person (can't remember their name) who uses the left hand throttle for power and the right hand throttle for pitch, and I'd love to hear other hints and tips on setting up a useable profile for the throttle.

cheers

Hood

I join the game and TARGET configuration I made (rapidly) if you want to take a look.

There is nothing original. I set power (right throttle), pitch (left throttle) and water radiator on axes.

You need to check switches before creating plane with my configuration.

IL2 Cliffs of Dover T.A.R.G.E.T. GUI file (.fcf)
IL2 Cliffs of Dover T.A.R.G.E.T Script file (.tmc)
IL2 Cliffs of Dover Warthog Configuration Table (Microsoft Excel 2007 file)
IL2 Cliffs of Dover Keyboard Assignment Table (Microsoft Excel 2007 file)
IL2 Cliffs of Dover Warthog Configuration Map (Microsoft Visio 2003 file)

The script file is the .tmc from the \users\...\roaming\Thrustmaster location. It was autogenerated by the GUI software when the .fcf file was created.

First I used the Warthog Configuration Map to determine where I wanted commands placed on the Warthog. Next I used the Keyboard Assignment Table to map the game commands to open keys. The table helped me avoid duplicating commands. Then I used the Warthog Configuration Table (Excel file) to map the key commands to the desired Warthog switches. After that I created the profile in the GUI. Finally I cleaned up the Warthog Configuration Map to reflect any changes that occurred during testing.

Thanks both. I think I wasn't clear though. What I meant was suggestions of which commands (ie magneto 1 on/off etc) could be assigned to which switches, especially as some of them have three positions. I'm currently trying to get my head round "pulse", "hold" and other settings for each TARGET assignment.

Mind if I ask how you assigned each key in COD?
Not all keys are present in config file as in 1946, and putting each key in COD is big pain. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
