Default Mirror mirror on the wall

Flew a Spitfire 1a on a server yesterday and it's mirror had no glass. In a weird sort of way this was an improvement since I could at least see other aircraft through the mirror frame. Certainly cannot see any aircraft in the current aircraft mirrors in COD.

Took a screenshot if anyone is interested.

You can map a key command in the options to cycle the mirror through low quality/high quality/off settings. Since it doesn't work correctly yet and it eats up some FPS, i just disable it altogether.

If you don't mind, how do you disable it? It anoys the crap out of me to have to turn it off at the start of every sortie.

Thank you.

Actually by "disable" i meant just that, pressing ctrl-M on every sortie to turn it off

I don't know if/how you can set it to default to off.

I disable my mirror also. Default off would be nice to figure out=

Disabling the mirror gives me an instant +10FPS!
