Flew a Spitfire 1a on a server yesterday and it's mirror had no glass. In a weird sort of way this was an improvement since I could at least see other aircraft through the mirror frame. Certainly cannot see any aircraft in the current aircraft mirrors in COD.
Took a screenshot if anyone is interested. You can map a key command in the options to cycle the mirror through low quality/high quality/off settings. Since it doesn't work correctly yet and it eats up some FPS, i just disable it altogether.

Actually by "disable" i meant just that, pressing ctrl-M on every sortie to turn it off
