Default Mapping Question

when i am on i am usually online. so i do not have the knowledge that you guys do about the overall game. SO, my question is which maps are the same? by that i mean....the single mission, campaign, online ( dogfight-strike-cta-tb)? what i am digging at is...if i wanted to create a "mission" or etc....what could i recon by myself OFFLINE that could be used ONLINE. OR do i need to just get into a game and fly off by myself and sight see. i have an idea for something i think would be fun but want to get all the maps worked out first. i would like 4 to 5 maps i could buzz around at my leisure to scope routes out....how can i do that?? leave me your suggestions. i will be away for awhile so i probably will not answer you for a week or 2.

Two ways I normally recon maps:
Offline I use a training mission with a PO-2 as opposition. I can then fly off and scout around for as long as I want.
Online we set up a dogfight with unlimited time and then hope just the guys who know the score get in. You can fly around to your hearts content.
As for maps they are both the same online and offline. The only thing offline has the advantage of is the ability to have enemy AA fire.

Default Give me a freak'n break!!!

Po 2 ya right!!! ok so i am doing recon on the berlin map. i fly around until i find what i want and then see templehof. decide to land my G-10 just to see if i can. plop that babe down no prob...even manage that 30 mph dip ok. get down to the 3 mph mark with plenty of room to spare. and what do i hear? the whistle of a bomb? F'n rat bastard Po 2 blasted me off the field! its bad enough in a CTA where there are a dozen players but a 1 vs 1 with AI in a Po2?? you gotta be S#!TT'N me!!

Harsh mate, should have maybe mentioned that they'll bomb you if you land- my bad! Amazing how accurate the AI is even when it's throwing pebbles though!
