Hi!
I've just started to collect parts for a new computer, and one of the key targets for this one is silence. To reach that goal I'm looking into buying a Zalman Reserator 2 liquid cooling system. A friend of mine has a Reserator 1 and he is very pleased with it. That one is out of production, and it doesn't support any temporary CPU-sockets anyway. In a test of the Reserator 2 written july 2006 it says: "Supporting Sockets Intel 478 and LGA and AMD Sockets 939 and 940, it is a shame they couldn't fit in the new AM2 socket mounting in time for this." Is this something to worry about? I have not chosen motherboard or CPU yet (even though I think I will go for a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600). Any experience or thouhgs about this is welcome! Skarphol |
