if it has a usb you can just put it in your ps3 when you put it in you have to go to system and there you can turn a switch so you can use your usb headset (a lot of manuals on google) and when you have wireless you have to find another way because i have a usb one:p

Simples! Get a hands free device and connect it via bluetooth. There you have it an authentic WW2 bluetooth coms device

Ok. And PS3 then somehow recognize usb-headset...? And then there is some kind chat/voice server where I connect and meet my friends? Well, have to do some searching then and find out. But anyway, I have to by a PS3 compatible headset first I guess.

Thats one of the good things about ps3, standard usb audio works fine. This would be most usb microphones/headsets.

Theres no "server" per se, just your ps3 friend list and "game mode", by that I mean when you speak and are in a game and speak, all on your team will hear you unless they have selected to have you muted (annoying, toddlers crying, yelling mom/dads etc... and you will be muted quite fast).

Ok. And when I buy a usb mic-headset and plug it into PS3, I can hear both friends (and also talk them) and game sounds from same headset? I would not like to hear engine/MG sounds from tiny little headset put into my other ear. It would great if I could here all from proper headset.

Game sounds will continue to come from your television. Only the conversation with other players is played through the headset.
