Angry Xbox 360 control pad No1 falls to BOP rage!

As above, I have an expensive habbit of smashing control pads up from game rage and it seems BOP has claimed its first pad!

I have pretty chunky fingers, so for me being delicate is an effort. So with the sheer amount of controls mapped to the right thumb stick its common place of me to depress the thumbstick by accident and look instead of throttling up or down, or rudder.

The last night the inveitable happened and while being chased down I went to hit WEP to throttle up for a climb and ended up simply looking round, and then getting shot down. In a fit of rage I smashed my control pad on the floor and stamped it into many, many bits!

I've ordered my AV8TOR stick today, hopefully this will help!

i hope the Joystick will workout for you, because i'd hate to see an article on the net about someone getting pissed at his/her joystick and stick it up someones a$$ lol j/k.

I used to play flight sims on my PC before it died, and a flight stick does go a loong way. what consoles need now are head tracking gear (i.e track IR), it'd be also great if the new logitech G940 would be compatible with consoles.

I'm sorry but I can't help but laugh.

I used to swing them around in the air, then smash them against the nearest hard surface.

Many controllers lost, may they rest in peace. LOL.

Maybe, they're probably easier to smash.

I can't remember the last time I got that upset at a game, I think it was not since I realised that I play them for fun and when I start feeling like that it isn't fun any more and I should just go and do something else.

Ahhh, the actions of:

a) Someone who's never valued anything in their life. Easy come easy go eh?
b) Someone with learning difficulties.
c) All of the above.

d) Someone that doesn't have 12 year old fingers and gets pissed off with farty arse delicate controls on a badly designed layout on a 360 pad.

Fancy mapping so many cricital controls, and then one game breaking control all to the same thumb stick!

They should have taken a leaf out of the XBOX Secret Weapons over Normandy game for how to layout a pad for a flight sim.

Got news: The Aviator has the build quality of a fortune cookie. You better order a few of them with your problem. LOL

Sure the layout is a bit iffy, but if your destroying control pads in fits of rage you really need to see a shrink for some anger management. I am an old fart with slow hands, but I regularly dice with players online to great sucess. And I have yet to even scratch my pad.

My friend and I tend to mod our controllers. We take the button out from under the sticks and place them somewhere on the outside of the controller, usually tghe bottom so they can be reached with the middle or ring fingers. This prevents what I call a "Panic squeeze" in the heat of the moment.

I no longer have it done on my controller because I have gotten used to the buttons under the stick, although I still perform the occasional panic squeeze, but my buddy still swears by the moved buttons.

If you look on ebay I think there are some sellers that do modified controllers at just a little over the controllers retail cost.

ROFLMAO I loved reading that I can picture my friend from junior high doing that because when I would kick his but at Tecmo Bowl he would flip out and do the same thing.
