Question Bomber guns quit working

Do the bomber guns have to reload or overheat? When I am shooting from the gunner positions alot of times my gun quits working. I have to wait a while for it to be operational again. Reloading? Overheating?

While you can aim anywhere you cannot point your guns anywhere. I suppose you were aiming out of the guns' reachable area?

correct you can only fire them when the reticle is light yellow, other wise you are aiming where the guns cannot train to.

The front firing guns will overheat. On the 360, the reticule has 4 quadrants..suspiciously laid out like the ones on the power button. When all 4 go red, you get the RROD and you can't fire until the guns cool off. I thought that was kind of funny.
At least you don't have to send the guns off to McAllen, TX to get rebuilt.

I have noticed that after a while the gun stops firing for a few seconds, maybe to simulate a reload, and it has nothing to to with the red rings of overheat or not aiming in the firing arc...as i said i just put it down to reload.

It was a joke. I'm not saying that firing bomber guns in IL-2 kills a 360.

You don't see a slight resemblance between the guns overheating and the RROD?
