Default Any Aussies/Kiwi's got the game yet?

Fellow ANZACS, have you had any luck finding the game in retail stores?

I'm in WA and I've been told today, so fingers crossed!!! (I doubt it though, since it's Monday, not new game day).

Melbourne here,

I'm also going to get it, once i work out which Flight Stick works best ><

My old HOTAS in the day was a TM Cougar, game port + serial.

The new one is usb & looks good, still metal construction & a solid feel. But from what i have read, the hat switch isnt giving the intended views in Sim mode.

I dont really care for arcade mode, so i will hold off a bit i think until theres some more stick reviews in.

Irishmandkg did recommend a thrustmaster (US$30) from http://www.amazon.com/gp/search/ref=...qid=1252290377

But im not sure if he is playing Sim or Arcade ><

Quick question. Is it true, that if I were to call an Aussie a Kiwi, or a Kiwi an Aussie, I would probably get a beat down? I once knew an Aussie who told me that after some guy thought he was from New Zealand! I never believed him really, so I thought I'd ask?

it would be the quickest way to p!ss them off...ever call an Israeli an Arab?
Unmistakable difference...ask them to say "Fish and Chips."

from a "pom"...always have been, always will be..

As for release- Game online claim it to be instore now- yet my preorder is yet to come by AusPost

For anything infuture I'm ordering from UK...at least 25% cheaper and probably will get here quicker...

If you're on the 360 I'd recommend the Aviator 2. There's no problem with free look and the rudder works just fine, not on or off as reported elsewhere (maybe that was the Aviator 3 or the PS3). There's a pretty big deadzone so you need to fiddle with some sensitivity settings to make it easier to make fine adjustments, but I think that's the same with all sticks (and the pad) on the 360.

Just curious, are most of the Aussies here veterans or noobs (like me)?

Hey, i'm a total noob. Not really into games anymore (play a bit of Halo with mates etc) but love planes so am dead keen to get this game.

As for Aussies and Kiwi's - in peace time we are rivals. When we have a common enemy though we are the best of friends.

I'll head to JBHIFI again in my lunchbreak today to see if it has arrived...
