Default Single mission fudgeups

Was playing through some single missions on sim last night, and was wondering what the hell is with the map screen in some missions? You go to look at your map to find out where you are meant to be going, and while in the map screen the view changes to an outside view of your plane, you can maneuvere while its in that view, and then to make it all the better, the view defaults to the virtual cockpit view when you exit the map screen? which is a pain in the arse...its little things like this that really shouldnt be happening...they really should have got some 'sim' game testers, not the n00b tw@s that reported redouts/blackouts as a glitch...

I noticed something like this as well. When I went to the map screen I could see the outside of my plane but I couldn't control it and my hurricane would all of a sudden roll right or left and I would have to exit the map quickly to get the plane under control.

yupp, thats exactly what happened to me, and at low level flying, when your plane goes headfirst into the scenery because you looked at the map, well thats kinda broken.

I only have it in some Single Missions, not in campaign mode, same as the OP. I always thought it was something strange but intentional. When I notice it is that way I just take quick glances at the map screen to check my position.

I use an Ace-Edge and the map button works as a press-to hold button in campaign (map goes away when you release the button). In some of the single missions, it only brings up the map and I have to hit the trigger (A button) to go back to flight. Pretty annoying that this is not consistent.
