Hello all. Let me start off by thanking everyone involved in the development of BoP, it's not often a flight sim works on a console but IL2 shines through.
Couple of questions regarding the Thrustmaster Flight Stick: Having brought one since they're recommended in the instruction manual as the stick to use on PS3, I was dissapointed to find the controls are nowhere near as sensitive as the dualshock. Will there be a future patch to adjust the deadzone, as well as not being able to 'check my six' while using the HAT switch nor apply wheel brakes once the plane's on the ground? My other question is in regards to black / red outs - are these working properly in realistic and sim modes? Occasionally when flying evasive manoeuvres I can hear 'heavy breathing' but no change on-screen to indicate a black or red out. Cheers again for laying the foundations for a quality online flight sim, looking forward to playing the game with the joystick you recommended. |

The blackouts and redouts are there - the screen will slowly fade after you start to hear that heavy breathing. I think it was 'toned down' a bit.

I belive Anton said, that they are gonna patch in more blackouts/whiteouts.
And i'm hoping for some announcement on the thrustmasters too. I bought one myself, going by what was said on this site. Hopefully they fix the deadzone and hatswitch problems. And as far as sticks and console users, i'm gonna have my throttle attached to the left arm of my recliner, and the stick on the right arm. Since they are also attached to each other, ( which kinda sucks ) it's gonna have to be somthing that is connected after you sit down, and be able to be pulled off, after you are done playing, returning it to a regular chair. ![]() |
