Default Jet unlock?

So I was playing team dogfight today, and I was having a pretty difficult time chasing a jet on the other team. I think it was a prototype or something. I'm not sure what plane it is though.

Probably was, but whoever was flying it must have had a serious hard time making turns. That thing is terrible at turning. I wasn't expecting it to be like a Yak or something, but damn for that, I don't like the jets anyway.

I didn't fly it in BoP yet, but the in the PC version it was just like that (and probably real life too), it is the ultimate boom and zoom plane, who needs turns anyway?!

1. You take it up to have some altitude advantage
2. Pick a target (hopefully not aware of you at all, since you supposed to be high over head anyway)
3. Extended glide toward the target
4. Intercept target with insane speed advantage
5. Shoot a short burst at the last second (the 4X30mm cannons should rip apart anything in short order)
6. Climb away with you energy advantage (none can touch you, other than an other jet )
7. Rinse and repeat

Need lot of practice to pull a successful attack like that, need to calculate lead over target, most of the time a rookie 262 pilot will overshoot by a mile. No matter what, don't slow down, if you missed just pull up and climb away, never, ever, ever, ever, slow down to turn fight. once you perfect the technique, it is very rewarding, you'll be untouchable and people will cry

All of the above was from the PC Il-2 experience, so still don't know how it works in BoP but probably similar.

In BoP, it's not really the same as it was say in Il-2:1946, Multiplayer wise. But I'm more of a low/medium altitude turn and burn guy. Not big on Hit and Run attacks, as the most difficult to me, is the chase. Sometimes you never know where the enemy will go? In Hit and Run attacks, your just falling on easy prey. Chasing your target, they know your their and will try whatever to get away!

The ME-262 in the game is bad. Its not even very fast. It may be able to outrun the earlier planes from ww2 in the game, but it has a hard time getting away from the later models

I got to unlock it and try my old moves (anyone knows which mission unlocks it?), if the pilot keeps his energy up, then the 262 should be out of harms way most of the time. You have to fly the 262 very gently, seriously, fly it like an airliner, no sudden moves, no high g turns. If you find yourself slow and low, you are pretty much dead in it.
