I bought and downloaded King's Bounty 1.64 (build 34387) from the official site. I'd like to patch it to the newest version. I tried downloading the 1.65 patch, but after I apply the patch it tells me that I need to insert a CD to run the game, which I obviously do not have. Am I not downloading the right patch? Or is this some screwiness with Vista?
Oh, I'd also like to get some mods running. I have no mods folder in my data folder. I tried creating one and dumping a mod in it, but no luck. I assume it's because I'm running an old version and the mod is for 1.65, but I thought it was worth a try. |

Thank you for the help. Unfortunately, when I apply the patch you linked, I still get asked to insert the original King's Bounty CD. I then have to reinstall to be able to play. Do you have any other suggestions?

I think you should reinstall it and use the patch 1.7 only with clean version. The previous one seems to corrupt game files.
