Default Stop once landed using 'Aviator' button map...

Has anyone successfully stopped a plane on the runway using "Wireless controller, Aviator" button mapping?

I've put many hours into Pacific Fighters so I'm pretty good at landing (I'm used to landing on carriers so an airstrip feels enormous!). I can get her down fine, but getting speed below 31mph is impossible! I understand that holding the brakes is going to flip you over. No matter how I feather the throttle, I always flip. Keeping throttle at 0%, 11%, 19% all result in a flip at 31mph!
Anything above 20% an you maintain speed. I'm assuming L2 is acting as a brake on the ground?

I've even tried zig zagging but I just cant shed that final 30mph.

Obviously I'm pulling back on the stick, but elevators dont have much authority at 30mph!

I've been practicing by just spending an entire mission landing! lol

Any one got any tips? Or is this a problem with the 55% idle?

Maybe I should just stake some cables into the airstrip and fit an arresting hook like on my Seafire!
OK, sorry, I just managed to successfully stop a handful of times. You have to open her up again as soon as you cross that magic 31mph. Then as soon as you've recovered the nose, L2 hard again. Might end up doing this a few times but once you have managed to break the cursed 31, you can hold squeeze the anchors on full.

Though to be honest I'm not so sure L2 is brake. Anyone know what is brake for Aviator mapping?

Really wish the throttle wasn't spring loaded to 55%! lol

loving this game tho!
