Aussies - where are you buying the game?

Hi lads,

Just hoping you can help out as there has been a fair bit of confusion over BoP coming to Australia. I'm sure a publisher has been confirmed by now though.

Just wondering where you are picking up the game and what date you expect it to be available?

I'm thinking JB HIFI will probably be the cheapest?

cheapest I've seen is Game online $80au free delivery...

I could get mine from the UK for $60au but then there would be the delay in it coming here...could be 2 days, could be 2 weeks!

And the 3rd sept seems to be the release (which sucks cos I've got extra time at work that day in the evening...won't get to play it till gone 10pm )

Not an aussie but I had to preorder from England as my regular stores here in Norway thought I meant the 2001 pc release.

Thanks for the info Juz - i've got a JB voucher so i'm hoping they will have stock on the day. I'll check it out and post info here. $80 with free delivery is a very nice deal though!

I'll be hitting JB's up and I'm sure they'll have it on the release day.

In years gone by it was EB but in all honesty they blow dog.

How they try and justify $20-30 more on new releases is beyond me. Then they have the audacity to place stickers on their games that say if you've seen it cheaper anywhere else we'll match it! I'll go to JB's get the price go to EB and tell them I saw it for another $10 less than JB's just to screw them over. If they take the bait then fine, if not I put it back on the shelf and go to JB's who usually get my hard earned. They are a great retailer with some weird ar$e staff lol.

EB target the uneducated - mums/dads who have no real clue and charge way more than they should. Anyone with half a brain avoids them like the plague when it comes to prices. I've noticed their stores have really gone down hill too, at least here in Adelaide. Always have massive tables of cheap games forsale that just looks really lame.

All major stores release on the same day. It's against the law to have it on the shelves prior to release date and JB's are on to all new releases. I have no doubt BOP will be any different. I don't recall any new release being in one store and not the other in the last 2 years.

JB hifi ftw unless you're happy to wait for a cheaper online purchase. I sometimes purchase from swallow games UK who have free shipping. I got the unedited GTA4 from there and was happy to wait 4-5 days shipping. Depends how desperate you need the game I guess.
