I wont be posting here much.. as I am not a big X-Box guy.. with the exception of football & some of the shooters with my son.. However I have been flying IL2 on PC for the last 8 years...
I just wanted to pop over here though and say welcome to the sim. They are two different animals (X-Box vs PC versions) ... but from what I have seen for those who either have never heard of IL2 or are new to flight sims or have never considered PC simming, this sim is a good intro to the best WWII Air Combat franchise made to date. The product is sound and if you let it it will deliver hours of entertainment to you. Should you ever decide to go the whole 9 yards.... the PC version of IL2 1946 is the way to go. Flight simmers are a relatively small group in the gaming world. If this brings more people into the genre... then ~!S!~ |

Yep, you can't beat Track IR and a 60 plane server!
![]() Still though, there will be fun to be had on the 360 also |

FYI:
If you don't have the pc game, you can buy IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 at gog.com for $9.99 now. I already had IL-2, but I've bought several other games there and highly recommend the place. DRM free and guaranteed to run on XP and Vista. Check out the Enemy Engaged games if you like sims too--chopper games that are otherwise hard to find. |

And you only need 512mb RAM and a 64mb DirectX 9 compatible graphics card to run Il2 1946.

You will need a bit more than that to run it well...
