Default Unable to start Cryostasis - Vista 64

Problem: Unable to start game. I get a black screen and then it hangs. After minimizing the game I see that Vista had to close the app due to errors.

System:
Windows Vista 64 Ultimate SP1
AMD 810
9800 GTX+
4GB Ram
ECS Mobo

Updated to latest Nvidia drivers (185.68_geforce_winvista_64bit_international_beta)

as well as the latest PhysX
(PhysX_9.02.04_9.09.0204_SystemSoftware)

While installing the Nvidia drivers I got a error saying that it was unable to locate the nvcpl.dll file but the installation still completed successfully.

Thoughts?

Your game conflicts with Vista64. In any case send DirectX report (dxdiag) to support (support@1cpublishing.eu).

Do you have a legit copy and not a warez or torrent.

Just asking because they cause probelms as to what you said.

If somone finds the solution to this I would like to know. I'm having an identical problem with the Cryostasis demo under Vista 64 Home Premium.

My specs:
Core 2 quad q6600
8800 Ultra
8 gig of ram

Thanks
