Waiting for the Armored Princess, I recently decided to start up a new game as knight on hard. I was surprised to see a group of priests wanting to join me, as this has never happened to me before. I am not talking about the diplomacy skill because a) I do not possess it and b) that automatically gives you a small portion of the enemy's troops, provided they are the same as one of your stacks.
So, has anyone experienced this? Any idea what it's about? |

Yes that happens, often there are some peasants in arlania, and cannoneers in underground sea

Well, I'm not talking about scripted events, if that's the right term, just about random troops offering to join you, in the vein of Heroes of Might and Magic. Perhaps it's quite common, but this is the first time it has happened to me, and I've played a whole lot of this game already. I assume the chance of joining depends on the strength of the stack relative to the strength of your army, i.e. your army must be vastly more powerful than the stack offering to join?

No, at the beginning of the game, the game just sometimes generates "friendly" stacks of monsters. There will be only one type of troop, and it will just wait to be accepted. I think that there is always a friendly stack of wolves in the werewolf area in greenwort, for example. So this is just a random thing, and has nothing to do with hero stats etc.
