Question about Quest at Orc Embassy

Hey guys, I'm a bit puzzled: The first time I played a mage and won the orc embassy fight, the guy there let me go into his dungeon to deal with some female dragon. The dragon had like a 2k stack of fireflies and some red dragons. When I beat him, I got a mask that gives +7% HP to low level units (forgot what it was called but it is golden and supposedly dragon stole it from orcs.) Anyway, I haven't been able to get that option again in later games whether I play warrior or mage (haven't played a single pally game yet as I don't really like him.) Is there something that triggers that option? That mask will go real nice with elven army of whoopass. All games are on impossible by the way.

I can recall talking to someone at the brotherhood pirate base about that first before i got that option.
