Default Demonis army?

So I reached Demonis lands as a level 24 mage on normal, i havent cleared all stacks in land of death because of the nasty black dragons, general karador was pretty easy though, anyway I have no idea how to tackle demonis lands now, first i went with my dragons but black and red dragons are useless, So i went back and tried fairy/lake sprites etc but after 2 matches I already lost 2000 lake fairy's.

Anyone have any good suggestions?

Below are my stats and the armies i tried to enter demonis with.

If that's all you got, that might be the problem right there. Tactics and Onslaught are huge for ensuring that your army goes first.

Level 3 battle cry seems to be a far cheaper and better alternative. It is hard for a mage to get might runes outside of getting lucky and finding them during your travels.

But you can't cast Battle Cry until 1 of your units has a turn. Typically the dragons and archdemons have already torn you up by then. Onslaught is helpful, but not critical to survival.

As for a Demonis army, if you have Magic Shackles 3, then use lots of archers. Imps and Demonesses are garbage without their special attacks, and no demons have any kind of ranged attack. Other than that, I found the most useful unit to be Dryads because of Lullaby. It will knock out Cerberi and Imps which makes taking down the other units a lot easier.

Cool, I am off to Demonis with my Elven army now. Magic Shackles 3 + Lullaby sounds great.

I started demonis with elven army, sprites and lake fairies with a stack of inquisitors(and only 1 stack of 80 in my game of it)/dryads + elven hunters and emerald dragons.

The change of playstyle which i needed to take was HUGE, and I'm not really sure I like it. I got about 170 mana and I need about full for every fight because a hypnosis + sacrifice combo already costs 70 mana. I do however get to start every fight with anga's ruby which is kinda cool. though I used to just use rain of chaos (with necklace of firestorm) and just kill everything in 2 turns. so the fights are alot longer now and I need almost full mana pool before I get into another fight.

Its working though, I can still clear hard and very hard stacks. though I used to be able to kill impossible stacks without any losses if they didnt have fire immunity creeps in their army.
