After playing the game on GameTap, and enjoying it a lot, I decided to buy 1946 to get the rest of the content, but I'm having a weird issue with the F4F, in the beginning of the USN Pacific Fighter Pilot campaign. When attempting to land, my gear never goes down. Pressing the Toggle Gear button does nothing, it never says that the gear went down, and the Gear Up/Down buttons don't work either, same thing, no message saying it went down, and it never goes down. I've been autopiloting through the landing, as the autopilot seems to be able to get it down, but that feels like cheating, and I know I'll never learn if I don't go for it, but it's impossible to land without tearing the plane to pieces, because of the gear issue. Am I missing something? Is there a special way I need to do it with the F4F? I also can't seem to pull the gear up after taking off. They seem to be already up when I go to pull them up.

It has a manual landing gear, just keep tapping the manual lower gear key and you will hand crank it down. Same for raising the gear, you must press the manual raise gear repeatedly to hand crank it back up.

In 'Controls', you need to assign a key to 'Rise Gear manually', and another key to 'Lower gear manually'. You press the manually rise gear key a number of times until you see the red light go on for gear up. When lowering, again, you need to press the manually lower gear key, until the green light for gear down goes on.
