Default I for Ignition

Hey guys.

It is a real loss of immersion when, for example, in the hawker hurricane I set fuel cock, magnetos, radiator, propeller pitch check, mixture to rich, magically start the engine with 'I', check temps etc.

What are you actually doing when you press 'I'? I have managed to set up my peripherals to be able to fly with full realism settings without ever having to touch the keyboard. Is there a location on each aircraft for an ignition switch? How come I cannot find any? I saw a spitfire years ago in Hertfordshire in England and I distinctly remember an actual ignition with a key and everything.

Thanks.

P.S I only really started playing this game properly after team fusion patch so if that is the cause of something I apologize.

well since you are doing everithing right ( fule cock on ,magnetos etc...,) the only thing you are doing by pressing the I key is pressing the starter. Its a bit of a shame that you cant actually press the starter switch with the mouse, or have the appropriate behaviour of the starter ( keep pressing it till the engine comes to life).

the real shame is you can bypass all the steeps but the fuel cock. So if you are in a hurry you can just

- fuel cock on
- press I
- take off

anyway, th espitfire and hurricane both add switches you presseed for a few seconds and the engine came to life, the 109 had to have a poor guy cranking a leaver on the outside, and then you would also press a switch.
