Probable STEAM Cloud copy back original conf.ini - that not include your joystick configuration.

Assign axis again - and disable STEAM Cloud.

I have found the same problem - my joystick isn't recognised after the Steam update.

I would be grateful if the above could be spelt out in a step-by-step way - I'm not that gifted when it comes to config files etc.

I have configured my joystick using Windows 7 - I went into CoD's controls to re-input the joystick controls but got a bit nervous with the elevator vs aileron controls - it kept asking telling me that I was duplicating the control (Joystick Axis ...), so I aborted on that one!!

Many thanks

How to:

http://www.justflight.com/supportfaq...-of-dover#FAQ2

Is a good idea cLick in the functions already assigned (wrong) and hit CLEAR.
I erase all, an set what I need.

After all are OK, make a copy of file ConfUser.ini in ...:\Documentos\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover or ...:\Documentos\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover - MOD (if use TF patch) and save in another place.

Thanks Sokol1 - but CoD still doesn't see my joystick.
I validated the files using Steam.
I deleted all control commands dealing with key commands for elevator/aileron/rudder ... and CoD still doesn't "see" my joystick (that's after copying and overwriting the ***.ini files in MODS with the ***.ini files that I saved before installing Fusion's Mods - in "My Documents" (I'm using the Fusion Mods).

It looks like an uninstall/reinstall - patches - Fusion Mods process for tomorrow!!

How does one disable Steam cloud?
One has to have Steam up in order to use CoD - is the Cloud something else?

I dont think is case for reinstall. If you rename the folder

:\Documents\1C SoftClub

And open the game again a new folder is created with default files - these STEAM download when you "check files".

Then, try reassign axis again in Aircraft > tab Axes.

What happen when you select one function, ie, Aileron and in box move joystick X axis?

Go to Steam. Upper left, select Games. Right Click on "Il-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover". Select(Left-Click) "Properties" from drop down menu. Select "Update" Tab. Look at bottom and disable Steam Cloud Synchronization.
