Red face Release in Sep 09, at least it is time for BOB forum

Suggestion but fits in this time schedule I would say:

Sep 08 BOB forum
May 09 required system specs
Jun 09 beta test
Sep 09 release

Hi!

Do you have the "September 09" from a post by the man himself?
I'm too lazy to search for that statement..

The statement below appeared at: http://www.theghostfiles.org/

"Oleg informed me, 28AUG2008, the PC Specifications for BOB will be announced May '09, and the release date will hopefully be late-post summer '09"

Oleg then confirmed it in some thread here I cannot find. He did however state that it was a very rough date and technical setbacks may push it to a later date. I would say Christmas 2009 maybe? Thats fine with me as long as it gets released and we get some updates here. Oleg has been very active lately in the "Oleg Maddox Ready Room" thread. More so than in years. I have good vibes about this game for the first time in years. Imagine what some scraps of information can do to bolster the morale of the grunts

Stop dreaming guys.

Oleg is so happy to model each screw in detail, each fastener, eachs structural element, the material behaviour of aluminum under the impact of a 20mm explosive cannon bullet as well as the oil viscosity in the landing struts, and the dynamic behaviour of a panzer suspension on a muddy road with some stones here and there, as well as writing the fluid dynamic equations to simulate the motion of rain drops on the wings according to aircraft speed and altitude pressure and dewpoint, that I am not so sure he is willing to stop. As long as you can afford financially to continue why stop.
Every year the hardware improves so the soft must be reviewed to use all the bells and whistles and it is a never ending story.
The pursuit of perfection is a noble task.
I am sure when SOW will come out one day it will be perfect.
It will run on 1000 core machine in native ray-traced mode at 200 FPS on a 100'' screen in 3D.
By then I will be probably not of this world or so old that handling a joystick or just concentrating long enough to look at a screen will be a daunting task. But thank's god my kids will be able to play it.
I am 49 so you can imagine what is my point of view.
R
endez-vous for SoW in June 2040. It is a perfect date. The game will come out for the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Britain. WOW!!
See you by then dear friends!
