kill markings-any chance to reenable them?

hey guys, as the devs just took out this feature, i wonder if it would be somehow possible to just reintroduce them manually again...for example with installing an old beta patch,....
then looking for what file is responsible for the kill markings.after that you just go to the current official steam version and copy the file into the steam folder..

would something like that be possible?

interesting thread, and i completely missed that one i think...
its definitely a good idea in my view,....unfortunately im not capable to do such things on my own i think...im too stupid and all im capable of is flying the 109..
