Default Control and KBD lockup In-Game

Hi All,

New patch (oct2012) and the game finally seems (mostly) stable on my system.

Old problem still happens:

Periodically my Throttle Quadrant and keyboard and even MOUSE inputs will stop responding in game.

Joystick still works. TrackIR still works, Rudder still works.
Still get the same FPS, still flying.

Alt Tab out of game, Type text in notepad - KBD is working, Back in game - not responding.
Escape out of game, >>Options Controls Axes>
Yep - I can re-assign the throttle.
so the game is picking up the control inputs.
Menu back into the game - No response.

When the lockup happens, I can't even control the plane with the mouse.
Flaps down - nothing, adjust throttle - nothing, Magnetos - nope.

And then it comes good again.

Anyone else getting this?

My Rig:
Win 7, i5, 16GB RAM, nVidia 560Ti,
Joy: Logitech Extreme3D
Saitek Yoke & Throttle Quad
Saitek Rudders
Track IR

I would think it was a USB problem, except that everything works outside the game.

Thanks,
-Dave Decay

Default anthropo WTF?

What the heck is Anthropomorph . . . ?

-oh wait

Okay, I'll be straight with you.
I have TWO keyboards on my rig, and one of them has been turned into a homemade button box.

So I KNOW about IRL problems with keys not working.
But I can fix those with a soldering iron.

This problem is different.
The rig NEVER locks up in:
IL2 1946
LOMAC Flaming Cliffs.
Microsoft Flight Simulator X
X Plane
Orbiter
Wings of Prey (don't laugh)

So it HAS to be a problem in CoD.

In the meantime, for lulz,
Here's my approach checklist:

Mix full Rich.
Throttle to 1/3
Wait for airspeed to bleed off.
Press Lower flaps key.
Press Lower Flaps Key.
PRESS LOWER FLAPS KEY! ! !
Press lower flaps key on the other keyboard.
Press lower flaps hotspot in the cockpit with the mouse.
Flyby view (numpad3) to check -NOPE.
but Hey! the keyboard must be working again so
Press Lower Flaps key.
Nothing.
Alt tab out to notepad to check keyboard is working. Yep they both are.
Back into game. - Nothing

Finally somehow get gear and flaps down.
On late final:

ON Centerline.
ON Airspeed.
ON Glideslope.

Looking Good, crossing threshold.

Power Off.
(I said throttle off. Off. OFF! Dammit, Dammit, Dammit. Go Around? To late the throttle is closed now.)
Level Off
Hold Off

aaand we're down.
aaand we're in the ditch at the far end of the runway.

Default That's a real setting?

Wait -
That's an ACTUAL in game setting?

I thought you were making a Joke about Real World controllers.

I wonder if the game is reading motion on 2 axes eg rudder, aileron and elevator and locking me out of the keyboard.

I wonder how long the lockout goes for?
How soon after making a trim adjustment can I lower flaps?

Thanks HEAPS.

-Dave
