Default Exploding fuel dumps?

I haven't played CoD since May. Picked it up again today and was delighted to see that with most sliders maxed out, fps/stutters are in another league. Fantastic! What a shame this wasn't how the game was released.

Anyway, I thought I'd try shooting at a few fuel dumps to see how the fps compared post-patch. WTF!!!! Fuel dumps no longer blow up. Since when was this great element of the game removed? Real pity.

Well, some "eye candy" features are trade for more FPS in the last patchs.

But some vehicles, like fuel truck cause a nice explosion.
Play the mission "German Attack Bridges" and shot at
vehicles around Britsh airfields.

Thanks Sokol1, will look out for those fuel trucks.

Check out a barnstorming video I made back in April 2011 - 51 seconds in you'll see those fuel dumps blow up. Ah well ....

Luthier himself said that they would be more difficult to set on fire because that was how it was in real life. I'm not sure which (if any) ammo does it now.
Maybe you can try putting a fuel truck next to them and see what happens when it goes up.

Yeah, the exploding fuel dumps were awesome, seeing them burn at dusk, maybe someone can bring that back?

They didn't remove the exploding just made it so you need to blast them with a bomb now.

Yes can confirm. In REDUX campaign there is a fuel dump at British airfield Tangmere I think, south of hangars. It burns good when hit by bombs.
