Hi there 52Zebra here , I have questions for Oleg??????????
First of all I would like to say I love the IL-2 flight sim It is the premier WWII air combat flight Sim. I have done several repaints for IL-2 and up-loaded them to screenshotart witch is no longer with us, Flying legends http://www.flying-legends.net/ and Airwarfare http://www.airwarfare.com/Sims/FB/il2_fb.htm mission4today http://mission4today.com/. I have also composed two March's that you use in any of the IL-2 games http://mission4today.com/index.php?n...ds&file=search I would like to know if you will ever add the P-61 Black Widow to the game? I would also like to see the A-26 is their any chance of this happening? Thanks , keep up the good work. ![]() 52Zebra ![]() |

Nice work, 52Zebra, but I got to post 2 things.
1st: Work on IL2 has officially stopped over a year ago. No new planes planned and the last patch with mostly 3rd-Party-Stuff is still being worked on. 2nd: I'm confused. You wrote: Quote:

Hello!
Nothing will be added to Il2 46 that would be not in the yet-to-come final 4.09 patch, and it is not supposed to include any planes, much to the chagrin of many...However some dark deeds in the making may come to this result in some unspeakable place...where the P-61 is also dreamt after. Draw your own conclusions... As for the A26, 99% chances for it to be included in the Korea "SoW engine"-based simulation to come (more or less) soon... Cordially JV |

Cool,
I have the IL 1946 v.4.09b1m. . What about all the planes in the Oleg Maddox's News post http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=2040 Where are they? Are those all BoB ? I do not have that one yet. Can I get BoB with all the patchs and up-dates on one disk ? if so where? 52Zebra Last edited by 52Zebra; 07-11-2008 at 05:03 PM. |

BoB will be the first installment of the new simulation series "Storm of War". Release date is unknown, but probably sometime next year. All aircraft you saw in Oleg's posts are for BoB and not for Il-2. With the exception of the final 4.09 patch (which is supposed to be released once Maddox Games reaches a certain milestone of SoW development and can put some manpower and time into 4.09) all official development work on Il-2 has ended.

Not much point asking questions here, Oleg doesn't pop in that much, try phoning him.

Thanks everybody for your replys.
I am still a little confused, 409 will not have any new planes, right. BOB is going to morph into Storms of war, right How many patchs and or up-dates does BoB have? 52Zebra |

The official(??) title of the next sim from 1C is BOB:Storm of War.(one title)
There are at least two BOBs from other companies that have been out for a while. RRG which is a new company of developers previously with 1C is working on a 'secret' sim using the BOB:SoW engine, based on the Korean War time period. |

As for patches, judging from Oleg's past record: - Oleg doesn't work with a fixed number. There will be as few or as many as he deems necessary - You can expect a relatively bug free product and excellent support with free patches. - It isn't clear if Oleg will produce free addons (as done in the past) but he is planning new instalments of the series in order to cover additional parts of WWII. - There will be 3rd party addons Quote:
Companies involved (that I know about): "Maddox Games" they are producing BoB and the game engine "RRG" was set up by Ilya with Oleg's help, it is developing Galba (Korea) but isn't responsible for coding (ie. has the tools but not the engine) "1C" is the distributor in CIS & Russia "UBI" is the distributor internationally Art from Il-2 has served in at least two other products and components of the game engine have also been used in an additional two products. I would expect to see this collaborative pattern continue. I hope this is understandable (I may not have been very clear at some points). |
