Anyone know if we can modify labels? How?
Is this possible and has anyone figured out how to modify Labels? Changing it to a dot would be the desire ala labels.lua edit in DCS |

You need "play" with mp_dotrange in console. For example, you can show only DOTS for enenys and only calsighs for friends, or in game switch ON and OFF labels - not provide in keys commands like in Il-2 1946.
See this: http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showpos...29&postcount=5 Is the same of iL2-1946 http://www.mission4today.com/index.p...op=show&kid=27 Quote:
Only DOT for enemy educated players to recognize planes forms - for future play in "realistic" servers without labels. Numbers at .99K indicate enemy vey near, whatch him!!! NAME for friendly at 5K facilitates comunication with wingmans. NAME in color at 2.5K indicate friendly near player. Sokol1 Last edited by Sokol1; 10-21-2012 at 09:28 PM. |

Scala,
I download file (Icons) now and open OK with Winrar. Inside are 3 text files, with extension .RCU - see with Notepad. Sokol1 |

Thanks Sokol1... I used 7zfm and I got the files.
I tried the console commands "fs" and "fh" and they worked perfectly. I then tried "ifr" and it seemed to turn off all the labels completely and "im" turned them all back on. I am still not probably understanding something I will need to play around a bit. I was trying to get it so there was still a coloured dot for the enemy and for allied but not all the other info (types, distance, etc.). I will play around with the files to see what I can get. Thanks again |

The file iconfr.rcu contain:
Quote:
To see DOT's and COLOUR change COLOUR value to desired distance, ie 1.00 1.00 means 1 KM (0.62 miles). Do same for other infos who wants to see. Sokol1 |

Thanks All, this was just what I was looking for...much better!!!!
I do not always use Labels but when we fly COOPs as a squad, some like labels so they can see and know who each other are.... This is a good solution |
