The COD developers use FMOD to make their in-game sounds. It's a vast improvement on the sound engine in IL2-1946, especially in relation to the dopler shifts needed for flyby sounds.

Except that the flyby sounds in CLOD are terrible...
It was good for the 109 a few patches ago... before they introduced the droned sound attached to it...

Be that as it may, I'm using awesome sounds in '46.
Enjoy your Cessna 109 in CoD.

Reminds me on what Oleg told us all the years "we use the most improved sound engine bla bla"

But still it was sounding poor.

But I have to admit that CloD's sound is a huge improvement over (unmodded) FB/46.

Well when Clod came out it used EXACTLY the same sounds as IL2 that came out 10years earlier and was always Il2's weak point... Well there were soooo many things that we were told could NEVER be changed due to being "hardcoded" into the game anf they would have to "rebuild the game from scratch" etc etc bla bla bla... Well it went very quickly once the code was out so apparently it wasnt difficult at all.
