Looks pretty cool. I've always been a fan or RO and all it's mods as well as the sequel. RO2 got off to a kinda rough start. They released it too early so it came out before CoD and BF3, and tried to cater the game to that crowd when they should of remained true to their fanbase and what worked best in the first game.

After much patching its finally lookin much better. I'll get this for sure. Shooting someone with a bolt action and 1 shot killing them is so rewarding

Not played RO2 for ages! This might drag me back for a look. Surely the Japanese infantry will be seriously outgunned though!

I don't play shooters very much. Not multiplayer ones anyway. It's hard to see what new innovations or realism that this title will bring. One thing that really struck me was the way the impenetrable New Guinea jungle is rendered impotent and you can just waft through it like a ghost. Running into even a medium sized shrub will give you a very different effect in real life. The pop up bunkers seem more irritating than immersing.

From what the video said it looks like they plan to give them a few tricks to keep the playing field fairly level, like using spawns behind enemy lines, improvised traps and banzai charges.

One thing I love about RO2 is the lighting, the maps feel different like the newest one where outside is a bluey-black night and inside the bunkers it has orange glows- it actually feels warm inside the living quarters (in an atmospheric way).

Bit of a shame if you buy Rising Storm you get RO2 for free, hope there will be a discount for RO2 owners. Will be nice to switch between the different theatres.
