Default Where is CoD going?

Hello all,

I haven't been on the old 1C forum in a while and decided to stop in and see were CoD is going. I think this sim platform has loads of unrealized potential and I was hoping to see some kind of development thread. Sadly I wasn't able to find anything like that.

Am I blind, looking in the wrong place or is this sim pretty much a dead horse?

The latest Beta Patch has done wonders....there has been much less bitching in these forums since its release....that's gotta say something, LOL.

I recommend updating to the latest Beta and checking for yourself.

I run all the highest Graphics Settings with no issues.
My Machine Specs:
COMPUTER: iBUYPOWER Gamer Supreme 957i
OS: Windows 7 Home Edition x64-bit
CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K 3.4GHz
RAM: 16GB
VIDEO: Nvidia Geforce GTX 560 2GB <---This and CPU GHz "seem" to be the keys to good performance, IMHO.

Well if they are still patching it I suppose that's a good sign that they haven't abandoned the project.

War Thunder looks real pretty but it's just not my cup of tea. I am not really into air quake sims.

From what I heard they have a monthly subscription fee and their over all business model seems to be aimed at a console crowd.

I hope it does well though, more people playing flight sims, no matter what the flavor, is a good thing from my point of view.

The bitching is a self fulfilling prophecy. The more people bitch the less the game sells and the less it sells the less incentive there is for the developers to fix it.

No sane developer is going to waste money debugging a game just for the benefit of existing purchasers if the game has stopped selling. The money is better going into the next version or another game entirely.
