just bought COD ..strange issue

Hey Guys,

Hope someone can help me with this...bought this game and activated via Steam...works great..frame rate much better than the original version that came out..but I have an odd issue..the sound of the guns is almost non existant...you hear a rumble through the speakers when you shoot..but compared to the first version of the game that I have before all the patches and updates...it is soooo quiet ...the sound of the engine is much louder than before but the guns are almost not heard.

I have read through the forum and noticed a few people mention the win 7 sound mixer for steam...I have that on full...no issue there.

I have the latest Beta patch on it as well ( aug 3) ...not sure if that has anything to do with it..

Any help would be appreciated..thanks.
