Default First 109 K4 ever to be restored

This is the first 109 K4 I've ever seen anywhere after the war. This is great news.

No that is a Buchoun that was changed into a G10 in the late 80s or early 90s. The other is the G2 Black 6 in a different camouflage from it's usual desert tan. They were using it in some sort of film where it needed to be in a European colour sceme. If this aeroplane that I put up is a real K4 it's huge news for anyone who likes 109s because they were the last and the fastest. Faster than P-51s

roger, im a 109 lover, but the K4 never impressed me. For starters it was bad ingmae (1946), second its uglier (in my opinion), than its older brothers. i think the 109 had its pick in beauty in the F series, the early G's are ok the late G's start too look ugly with the bulge in the engine cooling for the HMG and that hood redisign ---- All matters of opinion off course. Glad too see another 109 airbourne tough.

cheers!

Stuff I found.

The Bf 109 K-4 was the fastest 109 of World War II, reaching 710 km/h (440 mph) at 7,500 m (24,610 ft) altitude[101]; improved propellers were being developed when the war ended which would have boosted the speed to 727 km/h (452 mph), and 741 km/h (459 mph) was expected with an experimental swept-back propeller design.

It doesn't go like that in IL-2

One of the problems with K-4s is there are very few pictures of them. I have about 1500 pictures of Messerschmitts in my file and probably 20 real life K-4 pictures. Yes there are more but the majority of them are K-4s all beat up with allied soldiers around them taking pictures etc and I don't want to save those. I have yet to see one photo on the internet of a K-4 flying. I mean a picture of one flying taken from another aeroplane. I think why this is is because the war was going so badly and things were so desperate no one had time to be screwing around taking pictures. We have to rely mostly on profiles and pictures of models.
