Default SLI news

Any news on the subject any1 please ? Or is it secondary to DX9 among other things ?

Don't want to waste my 295 for a 680 just for this, as it is fully capable of handling everything else I throw at it but Clod.

Regards

For me SLI with two GFX580 did always work about 25% better fps. But I am not a real specialist.

Good for you

Not here though I think I've tried all fine advices from this forum, I still have huge stutters what ever I do when I enable sli. No stutters with sli disabled though but only half the card being used then = Low fps and pauses

Maybe you would care to paste your settings in game as well as your Nvidia settings ?

Regards

Dont want to sound mean or anything and its not an answer to your question perse, but gtx 295 is way old and perform slightly worse than a gtx 560ti and you can get a second hand one for 100-150$.

Its not like you have to jump from gtx295 all they wayyy up to gtx680 in in one go is what im saying.

As far as sli goes you, or anyone for that matter should do thire damdest to stay away from sli/crossfire as long as possible. Thats what i do and CloD is a perfect example as to why.(Not all games do have sli/crossfire support as many seem to think)

Like i said, a bit ot so dont blow up at me or anything.

Well I have Sli working reasonably well with two 1gb gts 450's. Getting about double single card fps but still have some micro stutters when looking down at ground. Think a lot of the problem is V/ram (lack of it), it appears to me that this sim requires at least 1.5 V/ram at the moment. Most of the community that aren't having minor stutters seem to have V/ram of 1.5gb +, just because we have Sli it doesn't double our V/ram. My M/B has two 16x channels for Sli, don't know how much difference that makes for performance but from what I read there is maybe 10% in it compared to 1x16 and 1x8. I'm running most settings on high but only play off line. Sure I would like to see the stutters fixed as this is the only flight sim that I play that has this problem (CoD, RoF, DBW). Reading BS's posts it seems like that they have some new staff and it is taking longer than expected to bring them up to speed, guess patience is the answer.
