I haven't got a fix for you but I will say that you are not imagining things. lol

I installed 12.6 a few weeks before this new beta patch came out but didn't use anti-aliasing at all with CloD as I was flying with my monitor's native resolution.... but before the alpha patch, with Catalyst 12.5, I was flying at the lowest resolution possible and found that the morphological filtering & AA was working so well that it almost looked like I was running in native.... even gave me a performance boost for some odd reason.

Since the new beta, my performance has been awful so I've tried to go back to lowest resolution..... only to find the catalyst AA doesn't do anything now and yet it seems to work in other games.

High weirdness.

Further evidence of dark occult forces at work? This game be cursed, I tells thee! Cursed!

S!

I use official betas 12.7. Works fine for me, but do not use FSAA though. You could try the FXAA Injector or add 1x AA in game + morphological AA from CCC if it works.

There's no such a thing as 1x AA.

I use SMAA (similar to FXAA) – thanks Buchon. It works very well (or, well as can be expected) and has no noticeable impact on frame rates. Like FXAA you can toggle it on and off in game using the ‘Pause’ key to check the effect on visuals and fps. luthier has stated previously that the game engine only supports 2xAA irrespective of what setting you choose (in-game or in the gfx driver), and I have never seen an update on this.

Edit: the AA number in the game refers to the level of AA, rather than 1x or 2x, etc. Level 1 would correspond to 2X (the lowest your card is capable of), level 2 is the next increase in fidelity (2xEQ for my card), and so on.
