Hi Farber,

I had a problem with duplicating the "post patch speed" for the Mk1a on the B6 posted graph in your post above. I am presuming the graph is in TAS.

Graph says post patch CloD Spit I should do a top speed of 570 kmh TAS at 6200m (FTH), 540kmh TAS at 5000m.

I got a lower FTH of ~5000m vs graph 6200m (boost declines above), with 520kmh TAS at ~5000m (***). So (-20kmh TAS) at 5000m, and (-50kmh TAS) max speed. I had to reduce rpm to 2750 (full rad) otherwise I couldn't do speed runs at FTH without blowing the oil gasket, quick bursts of 3000rpm did not suggest accelleration (before near instant engine fail) though.

Would be happy to revise these in light of other's data (in case of error or my install somehow giving different results) but imo the patch FM does not match the B6 plot (at least according to the Spit guages). IAS to TAS conversion is by an approx rule (2% increase per 1000ft), a more accurate calc is not possible without knowing more about the CloD atmospheric characteristics.

camber

*** original SpitIa patch +hotfix data 245mph IAS@16500ft if anyone wishes to check.

The Hurricane is considerably slower than it should be.....

~237mph TAS vs ~268mph TAS

The thread:

http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=32523

The Hurricane performance we should see in game:

http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showpos...3&postcount=22

I would use the same method of converting the data found in the game for conditions. There is also a slider control to change atmospheric conditions in game to standard as I understand.

The lapse rate in game is ~1.98C per 1000 feet.

Yes Crumpp, @ 6.25lbs boost, but as we know the Hurricane in the BoB achieved 12lbs for 5mins, yielding IRO a further 25mph top speed.

include the addition of 100 octane for fighter command.

The support only stopped short when the facts did not support claims of the exclusive use of 100 Octane in fighter command.

I don't think the majority bought it either as both types are included in the game.

I think we can take 1C out of the equation, it's obvious they have a bit of a hole in their knowlege about the RAF, at least 1C have shown sense when provided with the right information, it's almost like they have been taking historical advice from some dodgy sources, more likely people with a pro LW anti RAF agenda........
