Default BlackSix - a question

Excuse the separate thread but the 25/05/2012 update thread is geting pretty choked up.

Can you ask Ilya if it would be possible to release another mini patch just fixing a few simple things that are having a big impact.

The Spitfires throttles go from -4 to +6lbs boost over about 30% of throttle travel and engine runs with throttle closed. Also, if fixing the throttle doesn't fix the Spitfire brakes problem, can that be done too? I think these would be fairly simple to fix, probably scaling problems. They are covered in bug reports:-
http://www.il2bugtracker.com/issues/249
http://www.il2bugtracker.com/issues/256

Thanks

No, I can't. Programmers are working according to plan.

Any chance we can get a rough idea of what that plan is, when we might see the next Alpha version of the current patch?

Engine power vs throttle position is rarely linear. Wouldn't it be based on the power curve of the motor? Has anyone seen a merlin engine on a dyno?

Have you flown the Spitfire since the patch? It it goes from -4lbs to +6lbs over roughly the first 30% of throttle movement and the remaining 70% stays at +6. It makes it fiddly to set reduced boost, say +4, to avoid blowing the engine and then the slightest leaning on the throttle shoves it back to +6.

Throttle/Power curves don't come into it, its a bug to do with the way the whole throttle range is scaled.

Also the engine runs with throttle closed which it didn't before and to stop on landing you have to cut fuel to stop the engine or it runs and runs because the brakes don't work properly. Dem Blues are getting a few extra kills due to landing accidents.
