Documents -> IL-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover -> cache Delete content inside cache-folder. All can be safely removed.

You can actually delete the whole folder and it will rebuild it self on next launch.

Remember CoD has 'two' directories

Code:
1) C:\Users\<your user name here>\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover

2) C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover
The first one is the one with the cache directory, i.e.

Code:
C:\Users\<your user name here>\Documents\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\cache
You can del everything in that folder.. When the game starts it will rebuild the contents of that folder

The second folder does not and should not have a cache folder, so don't look for it there

PS wrt the 2nd folder, the (x86) is for 64 bit systems, 32 bit will not have that

Probably because some who might not have looked at his post and already tried to look for the cashe file may have looked in the second location only to be confused it wasn't there. I thought it was prety clear and not confusing.

Also, with there being several config files in a couple of locations it may be logical to think there are two cache files in the game.
