Default Dogfighting frustration on ATAG

I have noticed with the new beta patch that shooting down an fighter ac is almost imposable. Flying on the ATAG server my kill ratio has always been around 6:1 and I land back at base most flights. Post patch it's down to almost 1:1 mostly flying 109's but also Spitts and Hurrys.
Last night I entered into about 12 dogfights most with the advantage. I believe I dominated most fights emptying my cannons and most mg in continuing passes. I didn't see a single ac go down (some were taken down in further action while heading home). I had three collisions with spits that destroyed my ac but the spit kept flying and one low stall. The score was 2.6 kills to 3 deaths.
Has any one els found it harder or am I just having a bad run?

I find single-engine aircraft to be more durable (a little bit) but haven't found them to be overly difficult to down.

Last night, flying escort for a big bomber formation of 88's and 111's I got two spitfires - bounced one and got another one after a lengthy fight.

Sounds like it might be just a bad run? I did notice that my tracers aren't working any more, on my nose guns. Are you sure you're hitting?

You´re right i think. I Noticed it too . The plane react much slower on joystick inputs and due to the the sensitivier side rudder so its harder for me to make small corrections to hit where i want. i fly 109 too

I do tend to waste a lot of mg on snap shots and save cannon for close up and personal. I just started using Fraps to review engagements and I was getting some good hits. My gunnery skills are much better after playing COD. In fact the other night (pre patch) flying a Hurricane I downed 4 109's in about 4 mins, it was a thing of beauty. I jumped two ea chasing a Spit. It took a couple of burst to bring down the wingman. The other three were downed in a series of high deflection snap shots after they swooped around me like a pack of dogs. Every short burst was rewarded with an explosion and the ea disintegrating. Like I said a thing of beauty. I even got a screen shot of the chat window of the last three. Just wish I'd recorded it as it was my best ever flight.

Sounds like you're a better shot than me.

I think lady luck was on my side that night. But as I said I'm hoping my bad aim is more the patch than me.

Blenheims, on the other hand, are still trivially easy to down. Don't even need cannons.

They need toughening up.

The first ac I came across after installing the patch was a Blenheim. I opened up with my mg at 200 mts and took his starboard wing off after some nice puffs and an explosion

All down hill after that.
