Default OT: Assassin's Creed - First DX10.1 Title?

Interesting to note a 20% increase in performance when Vista SP1 was installed.

Thumbs down Duh!

I watched a guy play this game on a XBOX 42" LCD HDTV and the graphics were great.

The game is lame.

After about 10 minutes of hacking and stabbing stupid opponents it's boring.

I have a HD3870 and have been sticking my toe in DX10 programming a bit recently and found it interesting that not having SP1 installed would reduce performance on the game.

Re AC being boring: It might be, but I enjoy playing Splinter Cell, I think this maybe be similar just set in a different time.

I didn't get on with the PC version, the combat controls aren't nearly as good as the 360's.
