Default I am having a problem with blue screen,

I just recently bought a new pc(build w/win xp sp2) with a evga 8800 gt. I am having blue screen issues only with this sim. I fly online a lot with some online squads in cfs3 as well as this and really enjoy il-2 1946. The blue screen happens randomly sometimes after 10 hours or so between crashes. It only occurs with this il-2 1946 4.09 beta install w/ the new dll files.. I have tried different nvidia drivers and am now using the 174 beta w/o success. Does anyone have any suggestions. The copy I bought was made in Europe and written instructions are in Russian I believe. I had trouble at first figuring out how to install, had to use (a exe.) to install. The person that built the computer for me has upgraded motherboard drivers and believes there might be some corrupt files in the game. I am only using a pentium dual processor with 2 gb of ddr 800 ram. The 8800 gt max temp after about three hours online-68c,so I don't think temp issue. Message on blue screen is :
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, STOP ! 0X000000D1(0X89E00000,0X00000002,0X00000000,0XB9C9 500,) MEMORY DUMP, I also had ram checked for any problems and none found. Any advice much appreciated. This is my first post with you all, what a doozy, hey. Thanks--rclark--

After 10 hours playing the game? It could even be a memory leak ingame...

Only two things I can think of;
-1- A faulty memory or motherboard hardware-
use memtest86 (google and burn the ISO then boot from the CD or install kubuntu 7.10 i386 on a new partition, it has a build-in memtest86 boot. Let memtest run several complete cycles before reboot.

-2- Faulty chipset and/or motherboard drivers, or faulty install

In this case I would re-install Windows, with motherboard and chipset drivers to make sure.
You should be able to get the drivers from the mobo manufacturer site.

If you did the above and/or it did not solve the problem, post in the UBI help forum. Do a complete DXDiag test including running all tests and post the results there.

Did it occur to you that when you ask the same person to fix a problem and he does not succeed he might make the same error time and again? - ask someone else in that case to fix it

That could really be a lot of things.

Most likely is a wrong memory stepping, especially if you overclocked your PC, but it could also be damaged memory-chips, which you can both check with memtest86, as MaXMhZ suggested.
You should also disable all "spread xy" in the BIOS-options, cause some components don't take this well on fast machines (especially overclocked) and you should ensure the memory is cooled. Most people with watercooling, for example, always forget that there are more components on a mainboard that need cooling than just the CPU and the southbridge.
CPU BurnIn or CoreTemp are both very nice tools to check if your processor is cooled good enough for idle and under stress.
With CPU-Z you can also check the current frequency-settings against the original values suitable for the used CPU and memory.

Default Drivers

DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, STOP ! 0X000000D1(0X89E00000,0X00000002,0X00000000,0XB9C9 500,) MEMORY DUMP

sounds like a mem leak it show a driver IRQ problem check you USB attachments and make sure your drivers on all your atachments and programs are up to date.

IL-2 does not have a memory leak.

Memory upto 2GB can be used. close to that Java Runtime will engage it's Garbage collector to conserve memory usage.

Bluescreens can not be caused by IL-2 alone. IL-2 is a high level application and will be terminated by Windows if big problems occur.

Bluescreens can ONLY be caused by faulty hardware/wrong system setup or low level applications like drivers, AV software, firewalls, IP blockers etc.

I was getting a random blue screen crash that sounds very similar to what you have been experiencing, and I too was having a very hard time running down the problem... In my case it turned out to be a setting in the audio config panel that was causing the problem. Once I turned off "audio enhancements and hardware acceleration" I stopped having the problem...its now been 11 months sense the last crash. (fingers crossed)

its true about the audio the higher-end audio such as HD and full acceleration have a problem. Since the new update for Creative Sound Blaster HD extreme F1 I haven't had a crash since that recent update. If your running a Creative lab sound system use this settings.

Make sure to turn acceleration down from full to standared. its either in DX mode start run dxdiag, {tab} sound, or you can find it in the setting sound under speaker settings advanced performance {tab} hardware acceleration.

Default Thanks again-

I will try the sound now, checked memory and all seems ok there. Again thank you very much for all the suggestions, I will continue flying missions and keep you posted if blue screen issue resolved. I wonder how you ever know, sometimes I will fly 10 hours then have a random blue screen.
Cheers--rclark--
