Default Anyone else play (DGen) campaigns?

I'm not really in the "move" because I was absent quite a while. I'm currently playing some campaigns but would like to get newest info/update on DGen... DCG is still going strong I presume?
Is it possible to get new planes in DGen campaign as flyables (wasn't possible in the past)?

Thx

At the moment a new DGen version is in the making, the beta version will soon be released:

The new DGen will work both in the modded game and in stock Il-2 and it will allow campaign builders to add new maps and planes.

I am thoroughly enjoying Amagi's Disaster on the Frontiers/Drang Nach Osten campaign. I've already added some of the older Soviet aircraft to the databases that weren't available when it was first released back in 2007, both flyable and AI. By far and away my favorite DGen campaign, it's the only DGen campaign I've played that doesn't bore me to death. Not only because it covers one of my favorite theaters of WWII, and that it is a meticulously well-researched project, but also that there are a ton of ground objects during missions, both static and mobile. Each individual object is strategically and tactically placed throughout every map. Every column actually goes somewhere and doesn't just stop in the middle of nowhere 30 minutes into the mission. Every supply column either starts from, or goes to, an appropriately populated supply dump somewhere on the map. All armor heads to the front.

There are armored trains on the Smolensk map!

I mainly fly either German or Soviet fighter missions, but ground-attack mission for either side are a particular joy in this campaign, especially if you fly Sturmoviks!

Occasionally, there can even be battles on some parts of the front. For example, there is an artillery duel between German and Soviet forces in the towns of Tolochin and Krugloe early in the Smolensk campaign in '41.

The tempo of air operations ebbs and flows over different phases of the campaign, just like it did in reality, particularly during the winter of 1941-1942.

I could go on, but I'll stop. I've been singing the praises of Amagi's work for years and will continue to do so. Highly recommended!

Thanks Treetop64, I will definately have to look into what you describe being a mudmover primarily (sounds like one will get some interesting il-2 flights out of that one, and I mean the plane not only the sim-game )

To expand the Ngen or the Dgen you can use Lowengrins DCG.

I can fully agree with that - Disaster on Frontiers is one of the greatest DGEN campaigns. DCG is great too but is too player centristic and doesn't produce historical outcomes. I would also recommend the Ostfront DGEN campaigns add-on, where you can also fly as a recon pilot.
