Default Full Screen Off = Loss of 1920x1080 Res

Hello,

Some sims/games I notice have a stutter if I run vsync and full screen, Il2 ClOD seems to be one of them. So, I selected full screen off in IL-2 CloD, but I lose the ability to select 1920x1080, the natural res of my screen. I only get 1024 x 768 with full screen off.

Any ideas why? I would realy like to have vsync on and be in windowed mode. Thanks in advance.

S!

Choose Pseudo and you are good to go. Options are Full, Pseudo, Off.

Thanks Flanker, but Pseudo gives me the same result as Full Screen in that I get stutter with Vsync on at the same time.

Any clues as to why there is no 1920 x 1080 option in window mode. Thanks S!

The stuters I tink its the 4 gb ram I had the same problem, Im now on 16 GB and the stutters are good as gone.
Ocasional small freese but not every ten minutes.
And the 1920 x 1080 px, hm it has in mine.
Further more i reinstalled the game from zlich, seems to have something to do with it.
And of coarse clear cache after Launcher exe crash.

S!

Also can try this...First set the settings you want and exit game, clear cache. Then open BOTH conf.ini files, located in X:\documents\1C Softclub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\ and the other in X:\..\steam\steamapps\common\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\ Then line by line compare the files and check for differences. I found some and changed so that BOTH conf.ini are similar now. It MIGHT help and as it is easy to do worth the try IMHO

You can change resolution in conf.ini file.

Also check out the last link in my sig for stutters hints. No need to run in window mode to fix stutters.
