Default Are the Allies fighter easier to spot ?

Today, on the ATAG server, while I was flying at a height of about 6000 feet, below me I noticed flak. Using the zoom I saw a Hurricane firing at something. Only with a lot of attention I was able to spot a 109, while the Hurri was much sharper in the background soil.
I do not know if this is only an ATI problem or is it more general.

(sorry for my bad english)

I find all aircraft very difficult to spot except for ghost dots.

In all actuality in many a dogfight spitfires tend to "disappear" at certain ranges. I can see the 109 I am trying to clear just fine but then poof the spit is gone. But if I zoom to the middle FOV setting alot of time they will pop back up. Running 1680x1050.

at 1920x1200 often zooming in reduces the size of the enemy plane making it harder to spot

Close up, the 109s are easier to spot and track, especially online with the yellow noses. At mid-range though, I find that the 109's size reduces the number of pixels, and makes it a bit harder to detect, especially under you.

S!

I find it equally hard to spot anything. Sometimes sheer luck to see someone before tracers whizz by your plane. Only easy ones to spot are the ghost formations.

IMHO the way dots (contacts) are presented in CloD is a complete mess... In the other hand, RoF thing is the best thing I have seen so far... I also have the same problem with Spits, it seems Hurries are way easier to find!

Regards.

This is sorely needed. The technical limitations of the game, coupled with the fact that in general it's a lot harder to see something on a monitor than it is IRL, makes it very unrealistic. It's leading to things like giving people flying at (or below because of the lack of tree collisions) treetop level a massive advantage over people flying at realistic altitudes.

So many people whine about realism on these forums and completely neglect the fact that they're trying their best to pretend to be a pilot while sitting at a desk (or for a few of you people, in cockpits made of plywood and plastic) staring at a computer monitor.

Lord no. I cannot stand RoF 'dots'. At distance they are not dots but 'X' s which dance about and look massive until you get closer.

It'll be fixed I am sure, AA will help a lot.
