Default Fraps not working with new patch?

I am trying to see how many FPS I am getting with new patch. Unfortunately as soon as the game starts then the Frpas screen telling me how many FPS I am getting dispears. What else can I do to gauge my FPS?

There is an ingame frame counter.

Open console? How do you do that? And what is the command? SHOW START? This is no good if I cannot see my FPS, I need to see if there is an improvment.

I believe shift+tab opens the console when you are in the game.

fps START SHOW I believe is the command. It is case sensitive.

Shift+tab again to close console.

To quit the command is fps STOP HIDE If I recall correctly.
