Yes the script by 41Sqn_Banks allows this. No knowledge of scripting need, just download the files and follow easy instructions in the 1st post. http://forum.1cpublishing.eu/showthread.php?t=28559
This is a WIP version only and there are some usability inconveniences I reported to the author but the approach is very promising and 41Sqn_Banks improving it almost every day. Please gather with friends for some beta-testing and provide feedback. Without testing and feedback improvements are not possible. How it looks like and User Guide http://code.google.com/p/il2coop/wiki/UserGuide BTW with .NET possibilities a web GUI can be added to the script in time to provide VEF and SEOW - like experience. PS. Sorry, I personally prefer WWII Online- or ADW-style gameplay than COOP - based 8 vs. 8 or even 16 vs. 16 'duels' (which I do not consider to be realistic). Therefore I can not be the No.1 tester. Your help is needed. Those who actively participate in coop-threads, it is turn for your constructive input now. Please do not be a forum-warrior only and do what you can to move this project further. PPS. I do know that COOP functionality and GUI are missing from the stock game and very disappointed that Luthier considers that it works as it is (which tells a lot to me about new quality standards of the new team). This thread is not about this issue, please. |

This is a late post, but:
Thanks 41Sqn_Banks for the work on this script!! Our small group of "coop fliers" just discovered this, and it looks like a terrific work-around to allow a more "normal" coop experience in CoD. Brilliant, actually! I've made different versions (with different time and weather options) to the basic "IL2Coop".... this allows our small group to fly missions at various times of of day, with either Clear, Light Clouds or Medium Clouds.... 41Sqn_Banks: Can the basic script be modified to allow the host to choose time and cloud amount, in the same way that a mission is chosen? Sorry, I know absolutely nothing about scripting, so maybe this is not possible.... Again, thanks, this script is terrific! Best wishes. LeadTurn |
