Default CloD is great!

Bought the game few days ago and gave it a try. At the current state and after installing a pair of performances mods, I have to say I absolutely LOVE the game. It runs pretty fine for me, but even just taking-off is amazing! I have 190hrs of play on Il-2 1946 but this game just gave me a completelely new feeling for WW2 sims. It's not perfect, sure, and I can't even imagine how bad it was 9 months ago. Though, the little details they carved into this product, the amount of new features, the engine management, the clickable cockpit, the antropomorphic control, the exploding tires, the damage model, the flight model, the ballistics (I find much harder bringing down planes now, but when I do I feel so satisfied) are at a completely new level. If really 1c will get out a 50% improvement on performances, this game, plus the mods that will come out, will be as legendary as its predecessor IMHO.

When it's all sorted out it will be the new benchmark of flight sims.

The sim definitely needs more positive posts like yours. I'm sure most of the silent majority have supported the sim by buying a copy, otherwise the development would have ended soon after the European release. The software is still in development and is a great base to build the next benchmark in WW2 aircombat simming.

It sure is when you see the sim in its entirety because going back to IL2 1946 feels like an arcade classic. Never in the life of me would I think the flight model in IL2 1946 would feel so lacking and basic. But here i am thinking just that.

minor bugs and limited aircraft but overall a beatiful game to play, loving the detail.

My wallet is aching for an update .. keeps moaning and groaning, hope there's some relief soon? ... LOL!
